Research interest:

Saidi obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2022 summer from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Central Florida, where he worked with Prof.Haiyan Hu and Prof. Xiaoman Li. He received his master's degree in 2017 from the Department of Software Engineering at Tongji University, China, where he worked with Prof. Yigui Luo. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in 2014 from the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering at Tianjin Polytechnic University, China.

After graduation from UCF, Saidi works as a postdoc with Prof. Jingyi Jessica Li.

Saidi's research interest involves developing statistics methods for single-cell data, mining biological sequencing data, applying machine learning algorithms to massive genomic data, exploring gene regulation by TF binding interactions, designing enhancer-promoter interaction prediction pipeline, and reconstructing strain genomes using metagenomic data. He is also working on implementing false discovery rate (FDR) control in single-cell data analysis with state-of-the-art computational tools.
