Jessica won one of the 2023 COPSS (Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies) Emerging Leader Awards (https://community.amstat.org/copss/awards/leadership-academy). This award recognizes the talents, leadership potential, and achievements of high-potential early career statistical scientists.

Jessica was selected as a winner for innovative and disruptive research at the junction of statistics and biology, especially in statistical genomics; for advocacy of the importance of statistical rigor in the biomedical science community; and for outreach efforts and commitment to improving the diversity in quantitative research.
